Applications are now officially open for the VITIS program (Support Scheme for Vineyard Restructuring and Conversion) for the 2025/2026 campaign. This program aims to promote the modernization and sustainability of the national wine sector by encouraging vineyard restructuring and conversion. This year, the substantial increase in support is noteworthy, now amounting to around €20,000 per hectare. Applications can be submitted until January 31.
This support is intended for wine producers who wish to restructure or convert their vineyards in accordance with the criteria established by the applicable legislation.
Support can include vineyard conversion, relocation of vineyards, or improvements in viticultural practices to promote sustainability.
A specific allocation has been designated for parishes affected by the wildfires that occurred between August and September 2024. Learn about the identified localities.
The Couto-Mixto team is available to provide support and guidance to producers interested in taking advantage of this program, which offers a valuable opportunity to modernize vineyards and contribute to the future of Portuguese wine production.
